Sociology; introduction,origin ,nature of sociology.

 Introduction:

Sociology is a wider discipline in terms of methodology ,scope and subject matter . sociology includes, social actions, social interactions, social stratification, culture, religion, social role and status.sociology is considered as a  natural science and social science. Sociology  covers all the aspects of human's life.
Sociology is defined as :

Origin & History of Sociology:

Sociology of the contemporary era is the product of Man's old experiences, observations and actions. Sociology the science of society  was originated as a special discipline,in  1836 by August Comte 
With  the name of "Social Physics".
           
It's foundation was laid by Allama Ibn-e-Khaldun ,a Muslim historian.He named this new  new science "Ilmul-Imran". Sociology basically covers all the happening in our  everyday life.





Nature of sociology:

I. Sociology is an independent science: 
Sociology has emerged as an independent science.It is studied as a branch of social science.It has it's own field of study, boundaries, and research methods. 

II.Sociology is a social science:
Sociology is a branch of social science.It doesn't belong to the family of physical science.
It mainly focuses on individuals, their social actions, social problems and solutions to these problems, and social life.It is also related to other branches of social sciences.
 
III.Sociology is a general science:
Sociology is a general science.It is concerned with general topics.

Subject matter or branches of sociology:

Sociology is divided into several fields of inquiry as follows:
1. Sociological theory

3. Sociology of family 
4. Sociology of community 
5. Sociology of religion 
6. Educational sociology 
7. Political sociology 
8.Sociology of Law

10. Sociology of knowledge

Conclusion:
